Water washing: Clothing is made of protein based delicate and healthy fibers. It is not advisable to rub rough objects or use a washing machine for washing. The clothing should be immersed in cold and clear water for 5-10 minutes, and then gently rubbed with a special silk detergent synthetic low foam washing powder or neutral soap. (If it is small fabrics such as polyester scarves, it is also possible to use shampoo well). Colored silk clothing can be rinsed repeatedly in clean water.

Air drying: After washing, clothing should not be exposed to the sun, nor should it be heated with a dryer. Generally, it should be placed in a cool and ventilated place to air dry. Because ultraviolet rays in the sun can easily cause silk fabrics to turn yellow, fade, and age. So after washing silk clothing, it is not advisable to wriggle the water away. Instead, it should be gently shaken open, spread and air facing outward, and air until 70% dry before ironing or shaking flat.

Ironing: The wrinkle resistance of clothing is slightly worse than that of synthetic fibers, so there is a saying that 'wrinkle free is not real silk'. If the clothes are wrinkled after washing, they need to be ironed to be neat, elegant, and aesthetically pleasing. When ironing, air the clothes until 70% dry and spray clean water evenly. Wait for 3-5 minutes before ironing, and the ironing temperature should be controlled below 150 ° C. The iron should not directly touch the silk surface to avoid producing aurora.

Preservation: To preserve clothing, thin underwear, shirts, pants, skirts, pajamas, etc. must be washed clean, ironed dry, and then stored. For autumn and winter clothing, jackets, Hanfu, and Qipao that are inconvenient to disassemble and wash, they should be cleaned and ironed flat using dry cleaning method to prevent mold and decay. After ironing, it can also have a bactericidal and insect killing effect. At the same time, the boxes and cabinets for storing clothes should be kept clean and sealed as much as possible to prevent dust pollution.
